How to add volume to your hair
Are you still familiar with the big hairs during the 70’s era? Well,
we may have not outgrown that fashion totally. Big hairs are still the
trend nowadays. It just turned into something more practical,
convenient, and trendier. For those who have thick hair, there is no
need to add volume. They just have to maintain it in order to have
sultry locks. But for those who have thin hair, you might want to try
out these easy and fast tips to create that much-needed volume and the
illusion that you have lush thick hair.

- Never leave the shower without washing your hair thoroughly. If
you do not wash your hair properly on a daily basis, especially if
you are always exposed to hair pollutants like dirt, smog, and harsh
sun rays, it is likely that your hair would always look limp and
dull. Thus, it would always look like you have lifeless tresses.
- Use only the shampoos that are mild yet creates body to your
hair. There is a wide array of hair volumizing shampoos and
conditioners that work efficiently for those who have thin hairs
like you. By the time that you found the perfect hair products,
stick to it!
- Avoid applying the conditioner straight to your scalp. Most of
the conditioners that are in the market today have strong chemicals
that may ruin the roots of your hair. Applying it directly on your
scalp may not only result to damaged roots but also hairfall at the
same time.
- As much as possible, refrain from using blow dryers. If you are
not always in a rush to leave the house with a dry hair, do it while
you finger-style your locks. Not only that your tresses will have
that bed-head façade, especially if you have wavy hair, but you
would also get to avoid your hair from becoming dry as well.
-
Try getting a diffuser attachment for your hair blower. This
would help you create the curls or the waves in your hair. These
volume hairstyles would allow you to have thicker-looking hair while
you dry it at the same time. In this way, your hair does not have to
undergo different styling techniques which may damage it eventually.
- When using mousse or styling gels, add it to your hair when it
is already half dry. Start applying it from the ends of your hair
going up to the roots. Doing it the other way around would only make
your hair flatter. Thus, lesser volume is acquired and your thin
hair would become even more obvious.
- Wax can be applied to the roots to boost it.
- A round brush or a comb with large set of teeth can be used when
you want to lift your hair.
- Before going out, make sure that your hair is completely dry.
This does not only pertain to the water from the shower but also the
products that you would use on your crowning glory too.
- By the time that you think that your hair is already getting
flat, sprinkle it with water then lift it using your brush. You can
also scrunch it afterwards to get that extra hair volume boost.
