Factors affecting the volume of your hair
Why life is not fair? This is probably the most asked question by
women of all ages. While others no longer need to exert effort in
achieving a bouncy and a hair full of volume many women are still
experiencing otherwise. Believe it or not millions of women, even the
celebrities, are struggling to leave their hair that seems to wrap their
head all the time. Several factors actually affect the volume of the
hair and these are the following:
Diameter
This pertains to the diameter of each and every strand of your hair. The
diameter of the hair strand is measured as microns. Those who have fine
or thin hair only have hair microns that are below 60. On the other
hand, an average hair strand is between 60 to 80 microns. Those who are
blessed with thick lush hair usually have hair microns greater than 80.
Hair volumizing products can only do little to increase the diameter of
your hair strands. The best way to make sure that you keep your hair
healthy is to nourish it from the inside. Take foods rich in vitamins
and minerals. You would notice that your hair would become thicker (or
at least darker). When going out, you can also use mousse to give your
hair a boost.
Density
It is about the amount of hair that you have in your head. The density
of the hair is measured in every square centimeter of the scalp. The
higher density, the more hair you have. Hair density actually decreases
as people age. The important thing to avoid hair loss is to prevent it
early. Whether you have or do not have thick hair, do not stress your
locks and the roots by using pony tails tightly. As much as possible,
avoid tight braided hairstyles as well. These would pull your hair away
from your scalp, which may result to baldness as you age.

How stiff is your hair
This is the ability of your hair to stay in the scalp. If you have thin
hair, it is likely that you have a lower stiffness it has. There are now
various products in the market that would help you increase the
stiffness of the strands. See to it that you choose the hair products
that contain polymers. However, the effect is only temporary. Frequent
trips to the salon for a haircut can also help in boosting your mane as
well. You would give more nourishment, creating stronger hair, if you
opt for short cuts rather than staying with old and limpy tresses.
The curl of your hair
If you have naturally straight hair, it would appear thinner compared to
those who have wavy or curly hair. Don’t worry. Simple remedies can be
done in order to enhance the curvature of your hair. It is not just all
about the products that you have and can apply. Sometimes you just need
to do it the safer and natural way. Using hair brush that is round can
help you do wonders to the curvature of your hair. Aside from that, blow
drying can also make your hair appear bigger and thicker as well.
